Through the Redress Scheme, those who have been sexually abused in Australian institutions now have the opportunity to obtain financial compensation, counselling and a personal apology for the horror they endured. But don’t for one minute think it will be an easy process.
On 14 September 2015 the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse released its Redress and Civil Litigation Report. After receiving submissions from more than 250 individuals and institutions, the 589-page report made 99 recommendations. There was an enormous financial cost to the Australian public for the Royal Commission so we should listen to what the Royal Commission had to say.
Here are some of the most significant recommendations regarding the Redress Scheme and what’s happened so far:
A national redress scheme for the estimated 60,000 likely claimants be established and commence accepting applications from survivors no later than 1 July 2017.
2019 has already started, with some unused items ‘finding new homes‘! For anyone in Brisbane (for Collection), or Australia (for Postage) there are still items such as: tech, homesmart, wireless & rechargeable. Brands including Parrot, Belkin, Sony, Pioneer & others are listed.
After the intense results of 2018, 2019 appears to be more extreme:
+ “Unknown” responses of my family redirecting their inability of resolutions see a ‘finger of blame’ against my ABI; Synapse
+ also related to my ABI is my 2nd NDIS Application rejection. As a result, I have suspended that Contract, until matters are resolved with Integrate Rehab. This is to avoid continuing payments, for unsuccessful outcomes;
+ As early phases of Technologies-Government-Education-Businesses are evolving, IPO & ICO will also be released in 2019. Caution always needs to be shown, for those entering these forms of Trading; MoneySmart
Despite the ongoing ‘protections’ on majorily Private Schools, in Brisbane & NSW a trail is becoming publicly obvious. While the restrictions of precise details (exact financial details), the appalling frequency, habits, school swapping & institutional protections of reputation over public concern is becoming clearly known.
During the development of this site for Support for Students-Families-Victims of Perpetrators from BBC, in Brisbane Qld Australia, similar (hidden-concealed) histories of BG & GT are becoming more revealed. CSA Survivours, News, International Families & various others are becoming more concerned at what had been taken-for-granted in the shocking frequency of low SES, removed ecosystem & pre-adolescent child victims.
Success is being experienced, when past matters are legally confronted & help is available. The problem exists as a human behaviour, but security of our youth should be the community’s responsibility. Not the rights of the elite ONLY.
